Portland is one of the 14 most beautiful cities in U.S., according to ‘completely shoppable’ ranking

Another week, another national list that has Portland on it.

With the arrival of Memorial Day weekend, Americans’ traditional road-tripping 3-day vacation time, a “completely shoppable” lifestyle website called MyDomaine decided to recommend 14 U.S. cities to visit, insisting they’re the “most beautiful” urban places in the country.

And our burgh, of course, made the list. Here’s what the site said about the Rose City:

“Portland: Home to some of the hippest specialty shops, eateries, and forward-thinking bike-riding citizens in the country. And all this is set against the backdrop of calming rivers, a snow-capped mountain, and quaint, tree-lined streets. This is the perfect city for anyone who wants to eat incredible food in a place that feels more laid-back and casual than some of the other major cities in the U.S.” 

OK, pretty much Portland boilerplate, but that’s fine. The question is: How far up (or down) the list did Oregon’s largest city land — and did it beat out rival Seattle? The ranking, which offers some surprises, is below…
