National Apartment Report

Sept-US-info1

According to a recent study published by Adobo, the average rent for a one-bedroom in August was $932. In September, that crept up to $940. It’s a small difference, but it shows that even though large metro areas saw more significant rent decreases than increases last month, the nationwide trend is still upward — meaning rural communities and smaller cities could be bearing the burden. Another study from, Zumper notes that September was the first time this year that the national median price of both one and two bedroom units decreased. One bedrooms dropped -0.8% to a national median price of $1,146, while the two bedrooms dropped -1.0% to a median price of $1,358. Click here to see how the Portland rental market compares.
